MAE FYP Exhibition 2026
4 Jun, 2026

The inaugural MAE Final Year Project (FYP) Exhibition was successfully held on 21 April 2026, marking an important milestone in undergraduate teaching and learning in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE).

The exhibition showcased a diverse range of final-year student projects and highlighted the students’ innovative ideas, technical skills, and practical engineering applications. It served as a valuable platform for students to present their year‑long work and engage with academic staff and industry visitors.

Through poster presentations and live demonstrations, students presented projects covering a variety of areas, including Robotics and Automation, AI and Smart Systems, Energy Storage and Battery Technologies, Advanced Manufacturing and Materials, and Environmental and Recycling Technologies.

Among the participating students, four outstanding projects were selected for the MAE Best FYP Awards in recognition of their exceptional performance. In addition, six shortlisted projects received Merit Awards. These achievements reflect the high standard of student work and the Department’s ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineers.

We were also pleased to welcome industrial representatives who visited the exhibition to learn about student projects, interact with students, and gain insights into the outcomes of MAE undergraduate education. Their visit further strengthened the linkage between the Department and industry, supporting both industry partners and students in exploring future collaboration and career opportunities.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all students, staff members, and industry guests for their contributions to the success of this first-ever MAE FYP Exhibition. We look forward to further building on this initiative in the coming years and opening the exhibition to a broader audience.
