The Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE) proudly hosted the MAE Graduation Dinner 2026 on 18 May 2026. The event brought together final-year students, faculty members, alumni, and staff to celebrate the graduates’ achievements and mark the completion of their academic journey.

The evening opened with a series of heartfelt congratulatory messages delivered by Prof. Ben Chen (Chairman of the MAE Department), Prof. Chun Chen (Vice-Chairman (Undergraduate)), Prof. Wei Ren (EEEN Programme Director), and Mr. Kent Lau (Chairman of the MAE Alumni Association). Their inspiring words recognized the graduates’ dedication and offered encouragement as they prepared for the next stage of their lives.

A group photo session followed, capturing a memorable moment for all. The celebration then continued with a delightful buffet dinner in a relaxed setting, allowing students, faculty, and alumni to interact.

Throughout the evening, exchanges between alumni and students were particularly lively and engaging. Alumni shared their professional experiences and career insights in an open and supportive atmosphere. These interactions highlighted the strong sense of community that lies at the heart of MAE. We would also extend our sincere appreciation to the MAE Alumni Association (MAEAA) for their continued support in fostering alumni–student connections, and for providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and resources that empower our graduates to thrive in both their professional and personal pursuits.

More than a celebration, the event also reinforced the strong bonds within the Department. The MAE Department warmly congratulates all graduates and wishes them every success in their future endeavours. As they move forward, we hope they will carry with them the knowledge, experiences, and connections built during their time at MAE.
