Congratulations to two CUHK teams, comprising undergraduate students LAM Yan Tung (MAEG), CHIANG Hiu Ying (MAEG), YAN Jiayin (MAEG), TSANG Kit Yi (EEEN) and YUNG Choi Yam (EEEN), on receiving the Second Prize in the 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Undergraduate Engineering Practice and Innovation Ability Competition (UEPIAC) held on 25-26 March 2023 in Guangzhou.

Hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, the UEPIAC is a comprehensive ability competition for undergraduate students among universities in Hong Kong, Guangdong and Macau. It provides a platform for students to ​apply their engineering knowledge in real applications.

There were three competition categories this year. The two CUHK teams participated in the “Smart +” Category: Intelligent Logistics Handling in which they designed an autonomous robot that could complete specific tasks such as QR code scanning, materials delivery, etc. within a limited time. With outstanding performance, both teams won the Second Prize.
