Abstract:

Objective

Although 222 nm far-Ultraviolent C (UVC) light have proven effective in bioaerosol disinfection through the laboratory tests, the effectiveness in complex indoor environments, such as dental clinics and shared offices, is still unclear. To fill the gaps, this study aims to numerically evaluate the 222 nm far-UVC disinfection efficiency of SARS-CoV-2 in the air and on the surface in a dental clinic and shared office with a Lagrangian model. The case studies can improve our understanding of the effectiveness of far-UVC disinfection of bioaerosols in realistic indoor environments.
