CUHK ROSE Robotics Research Center

Welcome to the CUHK ROSE Robotics Research Center, a premier hub dedicated to pioneering research and development in advanced robotics. Our mission is to bridge the gap between AI and the physical world by creating intelligent, autonomous systems that can interact with and navigate complex human-centric environments.

Our research is powered by a state-of-the-art fleet of platforms, including the sophisticated Unitree B2 and Go2 quadruped robots for agile locomotion, and the cutting-edge Ubtech TianGong Humanoid Robot for bipedal manipulation and interaction. To fundamentally advance control theory and stability, our lab is also equipped with multiple linear inverted pendulum systems for rapid algorithm validation.

This hardware ecosystem is supported by specialized facilities such as a high-bay motion-capture lab for dynamic movement analysis and a configurable testing arena that replicates real-world scenarios.

Our development philosophy is built on a tight integration of theory and practice. We foster a collaborative, iterative cycle where breakthroughs in AI, control, and mechanical design are rapidly prototyped, tested, and refined on our physical platforms. This approach ensures our research in humanoid and quadruped robotics transitions effectively from simulation to real-world applications
