Bronze Award and Clinical Readiness Award in EMedIC Global 2021
2 Dec, 2021

Congratulations to Prof. ZHANG Li of our Department and his team for receiving the “Bronze Award” and the “Clinical Readiness Award” in the Engineering Medical Innovation Global Competition 2021 (“EMedIC Global 2021”).

Project: QuickCAS: An easy-to-use analysis system for quick detection of infectious pathogens in clinical samples

As the pandemic of COVID-19 rages worldwide, the soaring demand for rapid testing has led to heavy workload for laboratory personnel on an unprecedented scale. Prof. ZHANG Li’s team and collaborator from Faculty of Medicine have developed an automated bio-sensing system based on microrobotic technology, named “QuickCAS”, which aims to provide clinicians and patients easy and rapid detection of infectious pathogens.
