Professor Yunhui Liu was awarded the Leader of the Year 2022 in the Education / Professions / Technology & Innovation category by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited for his significant contributions to Hong Kong.

Professor Liu is Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at CUHK’s Faculty of Engineering, Director of CUHK T Stone Robotics Institute, and Founder and Chairman of VisionNav Robotics Limited.

The annual event “Leader of the Year” has been established by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited since 1994 with the aim of recognizing and encouraging the achievements of Hong Kong’s finest individuals who have made outstanding contributions towards Hong Kong’s success and prosperity, linking it to mainland China and the international community.

There are five award categories, namely 1) Commerce & Industry / Finance, 2) Community / Public Affairs / Environment & Conservation, 3) Education / Professions / Technology & Innovation, 4) Sports / Culture / Performing Arts, and 5) Young Entrepreneur.
